Vincent van Gogh's Last Home - The painters' last works were done in this small artist colony at Auvers-sur-Oise in France, just north of Paris. His home was a couple hundred feet from this river in an attic room at the cafe/hotel Auberge Ravoux. He walked the riverbanks depicted in this scene when heading out for many of his final paintings including Wheatfield With Crows, The Church at Auvers and one of my favorites, Stairway at Auvers, a scene that still exists almost unchanged to this day. It's a simple shot, but I enjoy the history as well as the blue white skies and water, and the rich green foliage. My first digital camera photo ever, shot on Nov 6th, 2003 with a Whopping Hi-Tech 4meg Canon A80 camera that fit easily in my shirt pocket and cost about $80 😮 I found this yesterday and thought I'd share my humble 1st try when considering changing from my tried and true film cameras...
