Cafe Les Deux Magots - This famous cafe on the Left Bank of the Seine, Les Deux Magots is popular with both tourists and Parisians, It has a long history as a meeting place for famous writers and philosophers. Deux Magots was once a favorite spot for existentialist writers Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Bouvoir, and a favorite of Hemmingway and Picasso where he reportedly created cubism - As a footnote from my own personal experience, while I like Les Deux Magots, a couple of 'surly waiter' experiences (not the norm, but they happened) sent me try Cafe de Flore just a block down the street to the left, and I found it to be a better, friendlier dining experience and equal in its storied history. I'd give it a try when you have a chance. - JohnBrody.blogspot..com / JohnBrody.com / John Brody Photography
