Three friends relax on the steps of the Institut de France in Paris. An interesting thing happens in this building. For example, what do the words computer, software and e-mail have to do with this place? The Académie Française (activated in 1803 by Napoleon) banned those words from the French language for sounding too “un-French.” They were replaced with the new French words ordinateur, logiciel, and courriel respective... You have to admit, they do sounds a lot more French, and I do love the sound of the French language!
